After the song ruthlessness when Poseidon say “43 men left under your command” what if after he drown the other boats some survived? The survivors washed up on the shores of Ithaca and went to the Queen with their story and the storm showed how true it was

Something on Epic: The Musical. Specifically a rant about the animatics for Ruthlessness: where are the Laestygonians?!

Let me explain: the Laestygonians are the mythical counterpart to the Lestriconi, an ancient Nuragic population (specifically they were Corsi) that lived in what is today Gallura, in Sardinia. They appear in The Odyssey when Aeolus' storm brings the fleet to Laestrygonia, the Land of the Giants (whose description resembles Gallura), and since their king was hungry they wiped out the fleet with rocks from above and ate everyone, with Odysseus' ship escaping due to sheer luck as it had been slower than the others and wasn't into boulder range when the Laestygonians attacked.

In Epic, Aeolus mentions them indirectly in Keep Your Friends Close when he tells Odysseus the storm is bringing the fleet to the Land of the Gians. Then the official video for Ruthlessness mentions them as Poseidon's choir, and then states it's them to wipe out the fleet for Poseidon.

And yet, almost no animator shows them doing their thing. Instead they have Poseidon do the job himself, something that in myth he didn't usually do (if you roused his anger he'd throw an earthquake or a sea monster, specifically a Cetus. For him to actually come after you in person you need to REALLY anger him). I found exactly TWO videos showing them.

Here the Laestygonians show up as singers before grabbing their rocks after a while - and when Poseidon gives the order, they throw them.

I know it's Monster... But the verses about Poseidon have the scene of the aftermath of the destruction of the Ithacan fleet, with the Laestygonians in the background over a cliff.

So, where are the Laestygonians? Why do almost everyone refuses to let them do their thing?

Also, a bonus from HAHStudios, the animator that has no problem getting WEIRD.

No Laestygonians... But we actually get Poseidon acting like in myth, his wrath executed by marine creatures and a Cetus
