Kind of a big deal. This never happens. Just hope it keeps up.
I just registered for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan’s Summer Stroll for Epilepsy. Here’s some basic facts:
1 in 26 people have Epilepsy, and 1 in 10 people will have a seizure in their lifetime.
Epilepsy has lowest amount of research funding per patient, at 0.82 cents. Compared to AIDS, which has 3,000 dollars per patient and STDs which 1,800 dollars, and cancer which has 800 dollars.
50,000 people die from Epilepsy every year, which is 10,000 more than breast cancer.
I’ve been going to Summer Stroll for years, it’s highly important to me especially after it was determined that my Epilepsy was drug resistant and will never be controlled.

Days 21, 22, and 23
So today and Tuesday were rough seizure wise, so no skateboarding.
Yesterday I had an errand to run, so I took my skateboard. I found some smooth sidewalk, which was amazing. I also got legitimately scared of a hill for the first time in a bit (I bailed). Then I road (part of the way) home with groceries in my backpack. And I only had one major wipe out.

The last few months I’ve had the most challenging period of my life with regards my Epilepsy, so recently I just thought: Fuck it! Why not create a page where I can come and release any Epilepsy related content/stress, share some hilarious memes and (hopefully) helpful advice whilst I’m at it! ⚡️

Happy Purple Day! For those that don’t know Purple Day is a day when people with Epilepsy & people who know people with Epilepsy wear purple to raise awareness for Epilepsy. I’ve had Epilepsy since I was sixteen years old & have complex partial with symptoms of tonic-clonic seizures & the type of Epilepsy I have is frontal lobe Epilepsy. Thanks to Camp EAGR I have gained an amazing family of people who understand what it’s like to have Epilepsy & always support me through my ups & downs. I have an amazing girlfriend who took these pictures & educated herself about Epilepsy because she wants to be there for me when it comes to my Epilepsy. I hope everyone enjoys their Purple Day!
