Here is the updated and improved version! The tuning keys actually rotate and turn the pegs via a gear and pinion assembly. The tone and volume dials rotate and I gave them small white tick marks. The pickup switch actually moves too and is properly constrained so it can’t move through the body. I added colors and materials to make things stand out. 

I presented this today in class and the professor LOVED the strings created with circular profiles of the correct string diameter (different for each string) and swept along a 3D sketch line. He also was very impressed with the tuning keys that I spent all morning doing because I felt like my guitar wasn’t good enough without them. Good thing that I added it because he was grilling students that didn’t have moving parts eeep.

I wanna restate that I measured almost everything by hand with an inches measuring tape and ruler. The decimals for fractions of eighths, sixteenths, and even thirty seconds of an inch make me wanna rip my hair out. I will never slander Metric users again. The professor and other students were really impressed and uhhh lol they better be, my desk is littered with sketches and dimensions of all the parts.

Got inspired and did a diy mod on my guitar tonight so I would have straplocks and a toggle switch top. Beer bottle caps and wire insulation can work wonders.

I guess junk is gonna be my theme on this one.
