Today a local museum had a presentation about punk in the DDR and of course I went. I was surprised that I was by far on the younger side, but it was a very well informed speech by one of my professors. I showed up in my Feeling B shirt and a beat up copy of burning down the house like the nerd I am. I just learned this was happening yesterday so I am so glad that I saw the flier and that I was free this morning. :) I don't even live in *that* big of a city so I'm glad that there's an interest somewhere in my community.

This is the book I reviewed for The Wire last month. I spent so long with them reading the book, that seeing their photos is a bit like “hello, friends! hey A-Mischa, hey Speiche, what are you doing here.”

(Funny they’re all wearing the same style of wraparound sunglasses in these photos tho) ;)
