Tbh I like Joseph more now that I know he's an asshole at least now he's less bland than oatmeal
i was like half-way surprised he was actually vaguely charming (or at least more than i expected), but the reveal - both canon and possibly not - gave it that bump it need to stop the whole thing being a sticky sweet mire imo. and i know that’s exactly why a lot of people play dating sims but i’m a dramatical murder kinda dating simmer so....fuck me ALL the way up please.
DATING SIM NORTH DAKOTA HAS CREEPY ASS TWINS IM LIVING

ok but in retrospect york does not harbor the sort of quiet facetious spite needed for dry Northern jabs this was literally some South-style “IT’S NOT LIKE MAINE HAS MUCH TO SAY ANYWAY” pettiness. lord. these brats

I ALWAYS TOOK ‘SUBTLE AS ALWAYS’ TO BE SARCASM?? like that comment has never not read as 'you just impaled a civilian in broad daylight in a crowded city. subtle.’ to me. holy shit. it never even occurred to me that he was being 100% genuine
I mean I don’t read it not as sarcasm, but... I’ve always connected it to the fact that it comes right after one of the very few times Maine speaks. Maybe it has nothing to do with that! Maybe it’s only about killing the guy in the car. But in my head I’ve always connected it to Maine speaking as well.
"Washington Georg" i'm laughing at my own shitty memes, help
and the world laughs with you.
Actually now I’m laughing because I’m remember all the Wash-being-tortured theories from the off season between 11 and 12 and how it turned out they were all basically sitting around having wine and cheese with the Feds.

man i feel this so much. Remember how the rvb crew used to collect and watch fans reaction videos to major episodes? i get that fan feedback is a huge part of rt content but… I don’t… know…
Fan feedback is huge and of course I understand that, all creators love feedback. But in this fandom (and this may occur in other fandoms too, I really don’t know) it feels like it’s become like, an entrenched part of the fandom culture for fans to yell at the creators for causing them “pain” via angst or character deaths--but the kicker is that often it’s done in a way that is playful as well as engaged (something that I think, again, stems from RvB and it having so many dead fan faves), and in fact positively reinforces the angst/death plot points far above any other kind in the creator’s minds. The creator response to this is cackling and steepling fingers and making cryptic allusions to future angst, like it’s a game? Hurt the fans, enjoy their reactions, rinse and repeat, because clearly this is what they want, right? Comedy with the sudden interruption of profound angst is what they want, it’s what they respond to, so keep doing it.
And it’s why I feel like staying well across the street from the fan culture of wailing “MILES WHY” on twitter because I’ve realized that feedback reads positive to the creators regardless of actual context.
