picturing like a spoiled lowkey rotten reader and ur going through a phase of ur life where you wanna piss ur parents off so you go to the worst possible person you know, eren. at first he's like no ur too innocent and preppy to hang out with him but after a lot of annoying convincing he agrees to help.

you spend way too much time with him but somehow you've realized you're actually living when you're with him. you grow to hate the time that you spend with your friends from "the other side" and ur preppy ass bf ( as much as i love him it's probably jean ) and would rather be with erens friends, aka "the weirdos"

ofc it would be nice for a while but something big would happen that would really split the line between your two lives. could be something not as big like ur bf finds out ur spending time with "bad people" and yaps to ur parents. or something like step up revolution where the reader forcibly has to choose between those sides because of a social divide. ur parents would get pissed off, probably tell you to never talk to him again, but you don't care.

for a happy ending, he would prove ur parents wrong by going into a super successful career or showing that he's a valuable person regardless of outward appearance. a different happy ending would be eloping and leaving that life behind entirely. i can imagine like a driving off into the sunset type ending.

personally, i think eren wouldn’t have a distinct style at first, but was eventually influenced by mikasa’s style and her dedication to her style.

he loves henley tops with text prints and layering polos over long sleeved shirts, also wears a lot of graphic tees.

has his fair share of leather jackets especially black ones that he uses to elevate his outfits (if he feels they’re too basic) along with his ever growing collection of silver jewelry.

eren would love pizza, especially the shitty ones. they hold this kind of nostalgia where carla would buy him pizza as a reward after his soccer tournaments as kid. he’s emotionally attached to that pizza.

mikasa loves strawberry shortcake. she loved the character so much as a kid and was ecstatic when she found out about the actual dessert ! her mom made it for her once and she’s been hooked since, she has long learned the recipe and prepares it for her friends if they’re feeling down.

Armin ⋆˚꩜｡

salt and vinegar chips. he loves eating those as he games, they’re just too good. a great light snack, tastes good, easy accessibility while he’s destroying everyone his opponents, it’s perfect. i also headcanon armin a very picky eater, the kind that only eats fires and chicken strips.

jean is a man of eloquence, a man of taste. he doesn’t just love food, he adores it and can be very picky about where he eats and how certain dishes are made. his favorite dish ? tiramisu. it’s so easy to mess up this very simple recipe and so difficult to perfect it. jean can get very peculiar about it, he’s tried countless restaurants and yet no one does it quite like he does. he takes it upon himself to provide the dish for both himself and those he cares about when they so as much crave it, he definitely delivers. chef jean is real to me, okay ?

Connie ⋆˚꩜｡

chilli dogs. they’re so goodddd, he has this special stand that he passes on his way back from uni. he frequents it a lot obviously, especially after particularly rough days, they always cheer him up !

Sasha ⋆˚꩜｡

it’s no secret that sasha loves food, all kinds of it, but i’m inclined to say that her favorite food would be a seafood boil. sasha loves to use most of, if not all, her senses to enjoy food, it just turns it into an experience. she doesn’t mind the mess, and actually doesn’t like eating with gloves on, she needs to touch the food to properly taste it.

Marco ⋆˚꩜｡

my lovely boy here LOVES almond croissants. i feel like marco would generally love breakfast with its meal options as opposed to lunch or dinner. he finds eating breakfast with the fresh breeze blowing on his hair and the bird chirping in the background is peak human experience. he loves relaxing in the morning, taking it slow, have his beloved almond croissant with a cup of coffee (with milk/creamer ofc) maybe even hot chocolate every now and then as he observes the street below him from his balcony right after sunrise.

Porco ⋆˚꩜｡

burgers and italian sandwiches. porco loves sandwiches, they’re so versatile; you can eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, as a snack literally anytime anywhere they’re always a great option. his favorite way to eat them would probably be with a cold redbull can (the white one) or iced tea (peach flavored but if it’s too sweet he’s not drinking it) with a side of salt and balsamic vinegar kettle cooked chips.

Is Eren a sociopath? (revised)

Dr. K uploaded an insightful analysis of Eren’s pathology in a recent video, in which he points out his symptoms of sociopathy. According to him, Eren’s type of is trauma Moral Injury. A newly classified type of PTSD under the DSM-5. Commonly found in victims of war. Adding that it causes depersonalization (a PTSD coping mechanism) which allows him detach to enact violence, consequently The Rumbling.

-edit- I urge you to do a quick google search about the differences between sociopathy vs psychopathy. As one tends to develop environmentally while the other shows up earlier in a child.

He also hinted at Grisha’s possible sociopathy because he injected his son, but he hasn’t finished the series so I think once he sees Eren’s involvement in the whole event he will change his opinion (he’s still a terrible father imo). As I’m watching the video & reflecting on the manga, to me the overarching pattern I’m noticing is justification. Which is found in almost every character’s decision making. I remember someone once told me to be wary of a person who holds power & exercises it but believes they don’t. Somewhere in the video Dr. K mentions cognitive empathy. Basically it’s when someone can reason that certain behaviors are harmful to others but still decides to do them.

But is Eren really that apathetic?

Prior to the attack on Wall Maria you could argue he showcases signs of antisocial behavior. The lack of friendships in his age group, a lack of hesitancy to murder two men in defense of Mikasa, and his general disdain towards mundane life within the walls. And sure, he reasoned to himself to proceed with the rumbling. Freedom, choice and autonomy is his whole philosophy right? Eren says it himself “I’ve always been this way. Ever since I was born.” So I don’t think this hints at sociopathy, rather he always valued authenticity & has a high sense of morality.

I just can’t help but wonder if Eren says that due to a traumatized self-perception. As if he resigned himself to the inevitable. The end. Had the circumstances been different would he really think that way? What I observed is that the perception of freedom is absolutely skewed. It’s an interesting take on Dr. K’s part. It’s shame we mostly see the story take place within the context of violent events. I think the quiet parts of the series reveal a more nuanced view on his psyche.

I want to drive home that Eren committing genocide & detaching his empathy in order to keep moving forward with it is a concerning defect about his mental. And if someone were to pose the question about whether he has some signs or symptoms of pyschopathy, that isn't crazy to suspect. Ecosystems, agriculture, natural resources, & ethnicities were left crushed. Leading to global impoverishment. His actions have zero justification & he is self aware about that too. Hence the su*code mission of The Rumbling.

I hate when people draw Eren (any age) as like… this chiseled “alpha” hunk. That guy is a ball of matted hair, sweat, eye bags, and also he definitely has a baby face. Chubby cheeks, sorry I don’t make the rules.

He’s definitely muscular and fit of course I’m not saying that he’s not (man started training for the Recon Corp at age 12, and we’ve seen him shirtless multiple times lmao) but the fandom just mischaracterizes him soooo much. He’s not an alpha chad. He’s a teenager. He never even made it to age 20.

This also reminds me of pre-season 4 when EVERYONE was saying he would be homophobic/transphobic/racist/etc etc, people would also say he would be an annoying highlighter shirt boy that assaults women and moans in class in modern times and like… what? Not only does his canon modern self not act like that at all but like… even if it didn’t exist, did you watch/read the series with your eyes closed?? 😭

IDK. I’m sick of Eren mischaracterization but maybe thats just my Eren fictive headmate talking.

Mikasa Headcanons ˚𑣲⋆

This morning (currently it is 03:50 in the morning in Brazil), I thought of some headcanons of Gothkasa and Eremika, I would like to share with you and see if you agree. I need to argue with someone about my hyperfocus between these two, my autism does not allow me to go without thinking about them ( I apologize if my English is bad ) (all headcanons are SFW) 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯

Mikasa Headcanons (Gothkasa/School Castes)

Mikasa, aged 10-12, discovered the world of creepypastas on the internet. She saw some stories and became a big fan. She admired Jane the Killer and had a slight crush on Ticci Toby [ btw, she once considered becoming a proxy (Slender Man's assistant), but it was temporary]

Mikasa, as a child, was a huge fan of Monster High and My Little Pony; her favorite characters were Elissabat and Princess Luna. Even after growing up and no longer watching cartoons as often, she still holds the same affection for these characters in her heart

She's a witch and has her own mini garden with her favorite flowers/herbs to use in her spells

She has a melancholic temperament

Mikasa has been practicing makeup since she was 13, so she can do it quickly in 30 minutes before going to school

She paints Carla's nails when the two are alone (Carla loves Mikasa's work and is careful when doing housework so the nail polish doesn't chip too quickly)

At school Halloween parties, Mikasa dresses up as: Elissabat (Monster High), Bela Dimitrescu (Resident Evil), Alice Angel (BATIM), Amanda Young (SAW), the Nurses (anyone) (Silent Hill), and Corpse Bride

Her favorite Disney princess is Mulan (she greatly admires the character's courage and determination, and is proud of her Japanese ancestry); and her favorite villains are Maleficent (2014/2019) (she really likes the character, both for her personality and aesthetics), and Cruella (2021) (she really likes the main character's style, even taking it as inspiration)

When she was younger, she liked to search on Google and YouTube for photos of Disney princesses in emo/gothic versions

Mikasa, at age 11, thought that when she was older (25-35 years old) she would have the same style of clothing as Elvira and Cruella

She has lactose intolerance, just like Levi

She loves going to events and buying handicrafts made by independent artists

Mikasa gets emotional watching "hopecore" videos on the internet, and keeps searching for more, even knowing she'll cry later (this type of video comforts her, which becomes a "pleasurable cry")

Eremika headcanons (School Castes)

Speaking of Elissabat, Eren gave Mikasa a special edition Elissabat doll as a gift (she keeps it carefully on her shelf next to her occult books)

As children, Eren watched "My Little Pony" with Mikasa at her house, and he never complained even though he was uninterested for a good part of the show (Eren's favorite episode is episode 26 of season 4, where he was ecstatic during Twilight's fight against Tirek)

Even as children, Grisha liked to take Eren fishing on their days off. One day, when Grisha took Mikasa along, Eren started showing off a bit, wanting to display all his fishing skills (the poor guy just wanted some compliments from her)

At the school's Halloween party, Mikasa dressed up as a "Silent Hill nurse." Eren found out about this a few minutes before the party and wanted to go as "Pyramid Head" to secretly match her, but he thought it was too complicated to put together the costume and went with a simpler one (he was quite upset about it)

When Mikasa goes to Grisha and Carla's house to keep Eren company, she uses Eren's computer setup to play Fatal Frame. He sits next to her to watch her play and ends up liking the game (because of the horror atmosphere and everything). Also, when Eren gets annoyed with those online fighting/PVP games, usually expressing himself verbally with some swear words, Mikasa alternates her gaze between the computer screen and Eren, waiting for an explanation for his irritation

Eren and Mikasa are quite introverted and have a moderate tolerance for social interaction. When they attend parties and feel socially exhausted, they isolate themselves in a corner away from everyone and "recharge" together simply by being in each other's company (they love each other so much that each other's presence doesn't negatively affect them; on the contrary, it only makes them better)

The two enjoy watching crime cases together and discussing the serial killer. But when it's late at night and the lack of sleep affects their thinking, they both feel brave enough to watch one of those "disturbing films that have been banned in several countries." When the film ends, they exchange shocked, horrified glances at the scenes

When they're at school and one of them forgets their headphones, the other shares theirs and they both listen to a shared playlist they made on Spotify (some songs have subtle references, but in the end they think it's a coincidence)

Eren added Mikasa as a "family member" on Steam so she wouldn't have to worry about paying for some of the games she's been wanting to play

Mikasa secretly has a relationship and a family with Eren in "The Sims 4" and "Tomodachi Life"

He’s terrible about procrastinating. Like to the point that you have to be moral support when he has to finish a semester-long project in one night

Half your texts with him are just you reminding him that he has homework due or an exam this week

Eren isn’t someone who’s just naturally intelligent so unfortunately he has to put in a lot of effort to do well in his classes

He puts things off for awhile, but he always gets it done eventually

If he gets assigned lazy people for a group/partner project he is SO quick to let the professor know he did his part while they did nothing

He may not be the most organized student but he does actually take his grades pretty seriously and doesn’t like other people jeopardizing his gpa

At least once he’s had to send a very desperate email begging for his grade to be rounded up

His study methods are very unique

Eren is the last person you should ask for help with studying bc the way he memorizes things and makes things make sense is very specific to him only

He pushes himself too hard sometimes bc he sees a lot of things as a means to an end

He’s a “grit your teeth and do it” kinda guy so if he has to pull three all nighters in a row to pass a class then so be it

Finals week means he has absolutely no rules. His caffeine intake is no one’s business, not even his own. He gets takeout for every meal. Makes himself very at home in the library. Doesn’t know when he last slept for longer than 5 hours

He’ll rest when the semester is over

Definitely has been in a situation where he’s had to lock in at the very last second to turn his C- into an A

And somehow he makes it happen every single time
