The Lodens & The Hoffmans

Not sure why Nora was moonlighting at the pirate bar - perhaps Koffieboon is having a drop in business?

No – I don’t think it’s that; there’s always people in there when we stop by. Then again, event season is coming up for Freya’s school and Erik have some stuff planned with the scouts – maybe she’s just getting ahead of expenses. 

Her wife, Dahlia has been working on a book for a lot longer than she cares to admit. To be fair, she’s been very busy with her lectures on writing, story building and character development – half of her students are almost done their books; one even got a book deal.

Dalia, however, is still in the weeds.

Their oldest, Freya is a writer herself; she’s getting very clean serious about her songwriting – she has dreams of going to Del Sol Valley one day to record her own album. Or maybe Sand my should know? She’s not entirely sure.

Erik loves nature and as a top scout – he barely has enough room for all of his patches and trophies. His mom’s have promised him a trip to Gibby Falls for his birthday with the whole family; he can’t wait to learn how to canoe.

Gramma Hattie even said she would close the stand for the weekend so they could go - it would be a nice change of pace. It would also be a good break from the rivalry going on with her and the Hoffmans ( more on them in a minute ). 

✏️ I did a deep dive trying to find out the truth about the jellybean cookie rift between the Lodens and the Hoffmans - after much research, I found out that no one truly knows. Hattie’s husband and Bruno‘s wife have passed; they’re the only ones who really knew for sure. 

Bruno‘s grandson Felix has his granddad‘s back – he’s not interested in what really happened, he just takes his grandfather‘s word and leaves it at that. Unfortunate – the kids always smile and wave at him, and he feels kind of bad, giving them the cold shoulder.

He low-key hopes that one day his granddad and Gramma Hattie had he will work things out so things don’t have to be as tense.

In the afternoon, Karina went to archery club.

Some of her friends from camp are there too: Aeris & Erin Chávez-Ralston, Erik Loden and @chaoticsimmer 's Haylee Harrison.

A new guy, Antonio "Toni" Estévez, came and he happened to be really good.

Karina didn't like that.

Since Gammelvik's founding there's always been a Koffieboon cafe, and it's always had the Lodens behind it. When it was her turn to run the business, Nora stepped in happily, but who will step in after her? Nora's daughter, Freya, never had much interest in inheriting the cafe, much preferring her deep love for dancing. Meanwhile the younger son, Erik, shows a lot more aptitude for crafting with clays and paints than he does business. Now Nora's feeling pressured to not disappoint the legacy of her late father and the many Lodens before him, even despite reassurances from her mama, Hattie. Thankfully, she has her wife Dahlia there to support her-and provide an escape or two through her critically acclaimed, titillating romance novels.

Struck By Love Chapter Six: I Don’t What I’d Do Without You

Part One: Sade’s Tour_1 (Ciudad Enamorada)

We starting off Sade's tour at Ciudad Enamorada. She seems excited to do this and Kehlani is there to support her since Delancey is expecting her first child.

As you can tell Sade is going back to old ways, drinking, partying, doing drugs. It wasn't the healthiest way but to her it was.

Was she ready to give the crowd the best performance ever? Yes, as if she has a choice, anything to pleased her label.

She got up on stage, performing her heart out to her fans. Hearing them cheer and chant her name was a wonderful feeling.

After her show, she had a drink or two or three. She lost count as this point but she deserved it after a job well done so there's nothing wrong with treating herself.

Even if it means getting touchy feeling with a random sim.

But it's not just any random guy she's having a quickie outside on the side of the bar.

That's Erik Loden, Freya's brother who is married to Himeko which is Sade's sister. So basically her brother in law???

Either way she's too intoxicated to remember this night.

[Kehlani]: Yo yo, it’s showtime. What are you still doing in the bathroom?

[Sade]: Fuck, don’t scared me like that. I was getting myself a pep talk.

[Sade]: I’m so soaked that you’re here to go on this tour with me. I do wish Delancey was here as well but she’s expecting and I don’t want to stress herself out.

[Kehlani]: Hahaha, true. But come on, this is your night. So how about we pop a molly and you give us the show of a lifetime.

[Sade]: Sounds good to me! 

[Kehlani]: Are you ready!?

[Sade]: Hell yeah!!

[Kehlani]: Wooo!! That’s what I’m talking about!! Go wow the crowd, girlfriend!!
