Being sick wasn't the end of the world— or at least that's what scales had said over the phone 30 minutes ago.
One of the other wolves had gotten sick and it spread fast. Unfortunately, it hit BB like a truck. they felt like shit when they left the house today, felt like shit while doing the morning rounds, and now they were hiding in Eve's office hoping the smell of their mate would fix it. (P.S. they couldn't smell)
They called Scales in sheer desperation, praying they had some magical cure (they didn't) and genuinely thought about seeing if their mom hadn't changed her phone number.
They fought back that thought and just opted to nap on the couch that was stuffed in the corner of the office.
Eve had entered the office— thinking that her mate was just hiding from having to interact with one of the poor souls that had gotten on their bad side— to the very loud, congested snoring of her mate.
"what— oh my god, no." She groaned. There they were, half on the couch in her office, snoring, clearly sweating from non-existent heat, and very, very sick.
BB woke up to a very annoyed mate and a medic pushing a water bottle of very gross smelling medicine in their face.
"why didn't you just stay home?" Eve asked as the medic left, stating that the sick werewolf was now Eve's problem.
"I thought it was just seasonal allergies" their voice cracked hard.
"first; you don't get seasonal allergies, being a werewolf sorta voids that. Second; I can tell from your snoring alone that you're sick." Damn... You know BB hadn't thought about that. And it did make sense, with accelerated healing and immunities to certain things they wouldn't have the seasonal allergies they had when they were human
"you should go home, I'll meet you there after work—"
"Noooo—" their whining was interrupted by a very mangled cough "I don't wanna suffer alone"
"you'll be fine for a few more hours"
"no! I'll die, and I'll die alone because you hate me" they flopped on the couch. Have you ever seen those videos of a fish being dropped on a boat deck and it just flops there before stopping? Yeah that's what it looked like.
"you won't–" she sighed "fine, do you wanna keep laying there?"
"can I lay at your feet?" God they sounded like a dog, but honestly? They were too pathetic to care.
"because you're more willing to scratch my scalp when I'm at your feet." She'd made a diva of head scratches
"uh... What's going on here?" A vampire from research came in to give a stack of paper work to Eve... No, he wasn't in research, it was his girlfriend who was or something– unimportant.
"why are they doing... That?"
BB had their head in Eve's lap and anytime her hand came off of their head they grabbed it and shoved it back in their hair
"I don't know, just ignore it, that's what I do"
"you can't ignore me forever" they sniffed "you love me too much to do that"
"Baby, shut up and drink your hot totty, you're embarrassing yourself"
"I can go find dayquil or something" the vampire offered
"nightquil would be better, so I can just drug them to sleep" Eve sighed
"that's got to be unethical"
"it's either I drug them or I don't get any work done.
"fair point, I'll get nightquil and I'm pretty sure we've got Vick's vapour rub somewhere"

A/N; I think this one goes very well with that post I made about different types of characters when they're sick. Also this is very lightly based off of that one Hells Belles episode where penny kinda drugs Greg by accident. I don't know if that reference reaches any of you but I hope it does.
