Inktober 2022 - 11: Northern Fjordlands

The homeland of Stian and his close relatives - north of the Arctic Circle. This drawing is based on a photo that I’ve made of Ersfjord near Tromsø. I’ve turned the scenery much darker and moodier though. I wonder who the Siderian is, who is is sitting there...

As usual: black fineliners, Ecoline brush pens (black and gray + blender) and some white gelpen highlights on postcard sized water colour paper.

Ersfjordbotn Sunset ii by Antony Spencer Via Flickr: This image was made about half an hour before the last one. The sky was just beginning to change here and the light catching the mountain tops was a lovely touch. If only we had light like this the whole trip! Something about shooting with Joe and Hamish all week rubbed off, I ended up shooting mostly verticals! :-) 5dmkii 24mm f1.4L ii 20 seconds @ f.16 iso 100. Lee 3 stop nd and 0.75 soft grad.

The blue colours of the polar night - that starts on the 27th on November in Tromsø (North Norway). This time it's not my photo but a photo from a dear friend who came to visit me last year.
