13. A Passionate Kiss on the Lips ((NO HE'S NOT GONNA BE))
The night was quickly coming to an end, but the bright haired girl was still basking in the afterglow of the season. A pleasant smile lit her face as it turned up to face the stars so that she could begin counting them.
'Someday, I'll count'em all...'
The heavy scent of pumpkin spice wafted into her nose, making her eyes close to let the aroma sink in. This meant losing count of the stars, but that was okay. She could try again as soon as her eyes opened again. But, before that, she made sure to follow the aroma to a place where several orange candles were burning. The dim glow glinted off her silvery eyes that stared in admiration at the simple little things-- admiration that quickly fell to immediate concern at the one tiny glow that showed dimmer than the rest...
Bending down on one knee, Kyumei assessed the reason as to why it was dying, and quickly spotted the bending wick that was aiming to extinguish its own flame in the melted wax below. "Well that won't do..." she mumbled, carefully reaching down to right the flame-- before picking the candle up and continuing her walk with it. After all, she saved its life; she earned the privilege to keep it with her.
But, just as she was straightening her posture, she found her body colliding with another's. Out of surprise, her body jolted... causing their lips to accidentally crash together... and more importantly, the candle to go flying over the unidentified person's shoulder.
The accidental kiss would have to be worried about later. She had to catch that candle. She wouldn't let it die just after saving it. And so, she reached... and pushed forward... and bent the stranger backwards to successfully catch it, all the while forcing their lips together harder and harder until teeth were meeting teeth.
But the candle was safe...
All was well in the world, right?
... Right?
"...M'sosorry," she mumbled against the other's mouth.
