Some Things Just Don't Change;[Jolly & Debito]
It all started with a jewel.
Amethyst, one of the more coveted jewels among alchemists for its spiritual enhancing effects, the internal balance and harmony, bringing stability to its user as well as a master energizer and conductor, a wonderful choice as a catalyst.
News had reached his ears that a certain wealthy noble was putting up a piece of Amethyst with abnormally strong vibes for gamble. A certain wealthy noble who was stupid enough to not realize what a treasure he had been holding onto, ready to part with it so quickly.
However, Jolly had never been one to amuse himself with the arts of bucking the odds. But this was a chance, a once in a lifetime chance that was almost impossible for the Alchemist to pass up. Even if he did try his hand, the little bitch known as luck tended to stray furthest from men of science and reality like him.
But no, all hope wasn't lost yet. Long strides ate up the ground quickly as he stepped into the lavish casino, cigar caught between lips as eyes languidly scanned the gilded room for the a hint of silver.
Fortunately for Jolly, silver was a distinct color in the sea of brown and ebony; the distinct laughter of his fellow Famiglia member resounding in the luxurious rooms accompanied by the soft coos of women, the Capo of the 'Coins'.
"Debito," the Alchemist drawled as he dragged out another inhale of smoke from his cigar, filling his lungs with the foul vapor, a habit he failed to kick due to the collective amount of stress over the years. "I require a favour from you, L'eremita."
