Amtrak station at SLO is in a nice ess curve. The Union Pacific carries on the Espee tradition of staging helper locomotives there.
Thanks for the submission!!!

A somewhat crappy roster-shot from yesterday's inadvertent pilgrimage to the West Isle Line. The "geep" (GP9) 3399 was originally built for the Southern Pacific and thus carries portions of its original headlight cluster towards the top of the ends of the short and long hood. A hard worker, over 70 years old. Now leisurely chugging along a 5 mile shortline, once a week.
The Return of the Brooklyn Turntable by Jeremiah Lietke Via Flickr: This past Friday, the SP 4449 was rotated on the former Brooklyn Roundhouse Turntable for contributors and volunteers alike. Both entities had a common goal: to refurbish and reinstall the 99 year old turntable at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. Eleven years after being removed from Brooklyn Yards, their dream became reality. The turntable was later re-dedicated in a public event the next day.

Thinking of modeling the Marsh Station Bridge nearby
It is a bridge over the previously owned SP line (now UP) and has some interesting landscaping that I would like to model in HO scale.
