This is my gift for @riafunnel, who requested something along the lines of a medical-themed, post-canon, rare-pair romance between Van & Millerna.

As far as I can see, nothing like that exists.

Hopefully this fills that void. Thanks to @radical-rad1986 and @esca-ss !!!

PS I'm a rabid Van/Hitomi-stan, so I had to write this to convince myself it could work. I think I did alright!

My Escaflowne secret santa gift for LegendoftheSevenStars

At first I wanted to write something but after a while I switched to an artwork instead.

It's supposed to be some kind of Best-Of of Celena :>

Her "sins" as Dilandau slowly dissolving in the past while still being a part of her. The support of her loved ones (Jajuka and Allen respectively) all while learing to finally live as herself and how she wants.

I really love the blue dress she wears in that one episode where we first really see Celena <3

The whole artwork is supposed to look like some kind of Fine Art Print. I hope I managed to convey that xD

Escaflowne Secret Santa: Return to Atlantis

“The founders of Atlantis, Plato said, were half god and half human. They created a utopian civilization and became a great naval power. Their homeland consisted of concentric islands separated by wide trenches and connected by a canal that reached to the center.”

Part two of my gift for @HeiloUnplugged

When I think of the character Dryden Fassa I first think of adventure, curiosity and… Atlantis! After all he is the the who knew a lot about it. And he was the one who really wanted to go on a trip there while everyone else was only thinking about war.

So, a few years back I wrote my first fanfic about Dryden convincing Allen and Van to go back to the Mystic Valley to unravel some of its mysteries. My writing sucked, but I still think the story itself was funny. It was a combination of a buddy road trip and some drama with Van seeing his ghost mum again and Allen retrieving the bones of his father. I intend to rewrite it someday. Not sure what the adventures will be precisely. But I had some images in my head I’d like to share here.

I wonder if Van could read the memorial plaques inscription?

Well… that escalated quickly.

After all, let’s not forget it was their wishes combined with Hitomis pendant that opened the portal to Atlantis.

What a great twist it was back then to add Dryden to the Escaflowne gang! The show wouldn’t be the same without his humor and lightheartedness. Although he could really check his privileges sometimes and the scene where he reads Leon’s diary are simply cruel. Still he enriches everything and is a great counter weight to all the seriousness and stick-up-the-buttery.

Escaflowne Secret Santa: Milerna & Dryden

For @HieloUnplugged

Hielo wished for some Dryden. Although he is one of my favorite characters I rarely draw him. Because 👏 it 👏is 👏 difficult 👏 and I am lazy.

I have a problem with the adult faces in Escaflowne, it’s probably lack of practice. Still I am satisfied with the results I got this time.

I like how the entire fandom seems to agree that Milerna and Dryden somehow belong together.

While drawing I finally realized that Dryden looks a bit like Timothée Chalamet. The same curly hair, edgy face and bedroom eyes 😄

(This is the first part of my gift. First I had no ideas what to do and then too many.)
