If transmascs are wondering, my knowledge and education on the subject just doesn't cover taking T. I am an amateur HRT science hobbyist, I try to keep up on all the scientific tests, knowledge, and myths. I am not an actual paid scientist, I am not college degree'd for medicine. This is not medical advice, these are just... opinions, yes.
Starting to feel the effects of estrogen kick in! Granted, I'm very early on and only taking a baby-dose, so I haven't grown breasts or anything yet, but I'm experiencing some of the quicker benefits, such as improved mood, renewed interest in decorating my apartment, increased confidence, and newfound respect for My Chemical Romance.
I had a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday and they took some blood to measure my hormone levels. From April to now, my T-levels went from 253 ng/dL to 36 ng/dL, and my E-levels went from 109 pg/mL to 178 pg/mL. My doctor said those levels are good, so she doesn’t want to raise my dose, which is disappointing since I feel like the changes have slowed down a lot.
But I'm in a way better place with my body than I was a year ago, so I'm still happy.
