When life around the world returns to normal, our world cannot return to business-as-usual. Mass amounts of damage has already been done, but that does not mean we have to continue that legacy. We have the ability to make a difference in every industry, but that can only happen when we work together to #RestoreOurEarth 🌏 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today I want to share some things to remember to help jumpstart your sustainable journey because after all, we’re all stronger together! 🌿 Start with your why - ask yourself why you’re doing this in the first place and why it is important to you. Along the way you’re probably going to make hard choices/sacrifices so it helps to have something to go back to so you stay motivated. 🌿 Focus on yourself and what you can change - Know what your capabilities are financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc, and what you have access to in order for you to set realistic and achievable goals. 🌿 Be ready to make changes and learn and/or unlearn - I keep repeating this one because there are so many things to learn/unlearn in the sustainability realm. It’s important to always keep an open mind to trying and learning new things. 🌿 Progress over perfection - progress is not linear. You’ll probably make mistakes along the way and that’s perfectly fine. Remember that there’s really no need to hold yourself into an impossible standard. Literally, no one’s perfect. 🌿 Don’t forget to have fun with it - it’s not an easy journey but know that you’re going to make a difference in this world, so just have fun with it and enjoy the process. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #EarthDay2021 #EarthDay #ecoblogger #ethicalhour #sustainableliving #sustainablelifestyle #iamzerowastecommunity #lowimpactmovement #intentionalliving #slowliving #slowlivingmovement #theslowdowncollective #climateaction #giveadamn (at Planet Earth) https://www.instagram.com/p/CN92nwvncro/?igshid=y9n2s0c12ane
