You travel slower with a heavy load like this, and you’re also more likely to get injured, plus the exhaustion from exertion, bags getting caught on trees and bushes etc. really makes you start snapping on the trail. Not at your tripping partners, but just in general you’re more prone to vocalizing a few profanities. If and when this happens, my dog Buck can’t tell the difference between a B and an F and he gets all sheepish thinking I’m yelling at him. In this pic you can see I use my @wernerpaddles Algonquin paddle as a walking stick.
