hhhh THE THING IS. i hate mirror iris so much but i also love her so much. i'm so happy she's dead but her powers were so fucking cool, she was a clever manipulator, and she was just so tragic. everything i hate abt her could've been so easily avoided too if they... didn't make her SA barry. it's also, like, barry says himself, "who's making you do this?"-- and when mirror iris does decide to be herself and make her own choices, she is immediately shattered for it by her creator. everything mirror iris did was still things she did, but she was also eva's puppet that whole time, so eva made her to pimp her out to an unknowing barry (same goes with mirror kamilla and cisco), so mirror iris is in this area of simultaneously being sexually abused (by eva) and sexually abusive (to barry). the only time she felt alive was when she was actively dying. eva saw mirror iris as an extension of herself, a weapon in her arsenal, but she acted more like her prime soldier than eva's tool specifically- and mirror iris played that part too well up until she didn't. even before that there was already doubts in mirror iris' mind and she still did all that. she's objectively fucking terrible, she's just also a victim and it's so ripe for angst and AHHH. they put crack in her scenes i think. i do wish i could watch her die an even worse death tho
