So,
Life has been big lately
I’m getting married, working full time hours for essentially the first time ever, getting up in the morning and sleeping away my weekends. It’s been stressful and tiring, but it’s also been a way to keep consistently productive and I’ve rarely been happier. I’m in a happy relationship, I have more friends and supporters than I had before, and I’m all of a sudden a responsible guy whose bank account is usually full. I’m back into playing video games and went on a retro spending spree in 2017, getting basically every console I’ve loved in my lifetime (hello, Nintendo 64 and Gameboy Advance) and playing new stuff on my PS4 and Switch. And I’m actually a really good driver with really good auto insurance and rapidly improving credit.
But
I’m not in the shape I want to be. I’m 6’ but I’m starting to develop a dad-bod and I’m eating terrible stuff most of the time. I want to hit up the gym more but I became used to going extra late to Planet Fitness each night, which I obviously can’t do if I have a job to go to the following morning. I also lately started using a low dose of Paxil to relieve my anxiety, which has definitely relaxed me but I’m not sure it’s great that I’m using a medication in my early 30’s. I usually prefer to solve my own problems so somewhat leaning on a controlled substance to “even” me out does make me feel a little bit queasy. I’m committed to being in better shape throughout the year and leading up to my (August 24th) wedding but I haven’t even started yet, so I’m a little stressed about my weight and what size of tuxes I’ll need to end up buying/renting. Oh and my best man is a flake and has been basically unavailable for any wedding related events so that’s been its own pressure to deal with
BUT
I’m happy and really satisfied with everything in my life. I’m going to start writing more about my personal feelings, thoughts, and updates on my personal life as they occur. As lame as this sounds, please feel free to check in and see my progress/commentary on everything as it happens, or subscribe to my Tumblr as I’ll be posting more frequently.
