♠ - What are they afraid of?
//Yuuya’s fears have a lot to do with both who he is, and what his past has been like. In generall, he tends to be a more angry person than afraid, but when he has a new person in his life he values (like Yuka in the game, or Tohko in my AU with princessofbyakudan) he is VERY feraful of rejection, and will go to great lengths to prevent that. He doesn’t tend to get infested in people emotionally, in part because that just doesn’t come as naturally to him due to who he is. When he does invest himself though, it’s a borderline obsession. Furthermore, if he actually puts his trust in someone *something he hasn’t truly done since he was a kid) he will be very frightened of having that betrayed.
Another big fear of his is a loss of control, quite ironically, given how he acted in HH. But outside the influence of the darkening, he is very much aware of his natural impulsivity, and it has ruined things for him in the past (like this one time he got drunk, but that’s another story). His control over himself, his circumstances, others…that is something he craves, and does not deal well with losing (as we saw rather violently with Yuka).
So basically, he is afraid of his past violent incidents being outed and ruining the facade he's built for himself in high school, he's afraid of trusting another (for fear of having that trust broken again) and he's afraid of losing control of his own actions and words.
