Peeta absolutely had a fantasy growing up of Katniss coming to his house with her bow and rescuing him from his mother, maybe taking him to live in the woods together. If he ever admits this to her it is only through extreme cajoling, and when he does it his entire face is so red she thinks he’s about to pass out.

We’re all in agreement that Katniss and Peeta were making eyes at each other before the 74th Games, right?

They were very obvious about the ogling, and everyone absolutely noticed. Kids at school were taking bets if Peeta would ask her out that year. The merchant girls definitely asked Madge what she knew. There was gossip about Katniss and Gale, but there were also rumors about Gale with other girls.

Everyone was sad for them when they got reaped, and they lost their minds when Katniss and Peeta "fell in love" and came home.

I think Katniss and Peeta are really goofy inside the comfort of their home. Just like a cat, Katniss rubs her head against Peeta's arm when she wants something. Peeta makes random noises when he's bored or wants Katniss' attention.

Just saw a “The Language of Flowers” book in a charity shop and under ‘Dandelion’ it says that young lovers would blow off the seeds to see if they were in love and if they blew off all the seeds at once it meant their love was true….Anyways Everlark do this in the Meadow post war

One of my strongest headcanons is that Katniss eventually gets super into gardening. Because it’s tedious work that gets your mind off things, there’s always a problem to solve. Time spent in the sunshine and the wind with your hands in cool soil. Tiny sprouts that become sturdy stalks. Tiny flowers that become a hardy vegetable. It’s rewarding when you can feed your family with something you grew with your hands. A new way to provide.

Someone would gift them a houseplant for their toasting or something and a new obsession would begin. Effie finds out and starts sending her exotic Capitol houseplants until she’s filled a room with them. She’d sing to all of them because someone told her plants like music (it was Peeta). And she’d be surrounded by reminders of hard work and time passed and her favorite color 🌿💚🌱

the thing about saying everlark aren't big on pda post mockingjay when they're properly together is all well and good but idk if it's the truth.

sure, they aren't making out like they were on the victory tour, but these two were walking hand in hand down the street when they weren't together, no one was watching them and cameras weren't around.

I think their quietly pda, pda in a way that they think no one is watching but actually everyone has noticed and they just respect them too much to say anything about it plus every one in 12 would think it's sweet

I like to think that peeta is an october baby. he was one of the few babies who actually was able to survive during that time in district 12 because winter would’ve been rough but the bakery kept warm everyday and they had enough stale food/carbohydrates stocked up for the family so he could be fed and supported. also i just like the idea of katniss being born in spring while she thinks of peeta as this complete manifestation of hope and goodness and life aka her “dandelion in the spring” while he’s actually born in autumn which is associated with hunting and the harvest and protection (against the long cold dark nights) and bonfires *cough cough* aka “the girl on fire”

and if i said that mohabbot were an everlark variation then what? THEN WHAT BCS THEY ARE!

this all came to me purely bcs the fact both abbot and peeta lose their leg and they mean so much to me and i can’t be normal about them.

like we have peeta who is a sweet guy, a little flirty and ridiculous, he knows how to control a room even with his fucking kindness. and he’s so kind it tears him down and he loses himself in more way than one. losing his leg, losing his mind, having no family and left to deal with everything he has suffered often alone because he knows how to help people and not be helped.

then we have abbot, and he’s older he’s lived more. and god he’s been through the wringer too, losing his leg aswell, losing his wife who he is clearly devastated over. being passively suicidal and yet, yet he still shines and loves. everyone wants to be around him, to work with him and he helps everyone he can, patient or doctor he slides what rules he can and god does he always uplift those around him.

then we move onto katniss. who’s mother clocked out on her most important years and never really came back. katniss who had to fend for herself, to keep her sister fed and safe. who ultimately makes the biggest sacrifice for her sister and is still seen as an underdog. her love and her empathy for others drives her so much and no one really expects too much from her, despite her clear strength and desire. she pushes herself to the end of the earth.

taking us to mohan, and she’s gentle and she actively listens to everyone she can and she sits with every patient of hers. because she knows what it’s like to be misheard and under appreciated, she has been the underdog her whole career. and her motherly issues, ones she tries hard to keep floating but ultimately cannot. mohan pushes herself for everyone else and slowly loses herself, until all she can do is run, to escape and find somewhere new.

everlark, who knew eachother from a young age, stemming from pity and friendship and hatred and blooming into care and love. peeta who devotes his whole life to katniss, who sees her as this bright light he cannot imagine himself living with out. he has been through so much and yet him, the most painful would be to lose katniss. and katniss who has never even comprehended that maybe just maybe peeta loves her, that he sees her differently from everyone else. that je sees her for who she is and can fall inlove with her again and again. loving her through all her loses, and she bringing him back when it gets too hard.

mohabbot, who probably met in passing, maybe a shift handover or a joint case on a double. however it was it was slow. conversations across rooms and eye contact that’s a little too long for an attending and a resident. and nothing happening because they respect eachother. until they can’t go on without eachother. because abbot has found something happy to cling to, despite everyone else mohan is a constant in his life. and for mohan, having someone who is always proud of her, never ever second guessing her choices or seeing her in the sad ways everyone else does. she has so much potential to grow and he has so much room in his heart that is open. and then she cares for him, helping him after bad days on scenes, patching him up and it’s the first time in years he’s let someone help him. it’s never the same from there on.

so mohabbot and everlark, the unlikely soulmates. the ones who needed something constant and safe.
