She was frozen, she had been for what felt like minutes and months all at the same time. The first day, she had thought she was trapped in a dream which slowly turned into a living nightmare. Whitney had been, it was hard to say for sure, but invisible maybe? She could see and hear everyone around her but no one could see her. Even when she started screaming until her throat felt like it was going to rip itself into shreds, no one heard a sound. And she'd hit a point where this was never going to change. Which was why, when someone started speaking, Whitney assumed it was to someone else, until she glanced up and saw that they were staring right at her. "Wait...you can see me?"

" phyllis called out , standing quickly from the chair behind the desk she was sat at in order to flag down the patron with a wave of her sweater-clad arm . there is a quick look over her shoulder , cobalts scanning the low lit room as if someone else were on duty to reprimand her for her volume . alas , she was the only one working today , and it wasn't like she was going to reprimand herself !!

still , lowering her voice to a whisper-shout ; " the library is closed . you'll have to come back tomorrow , i'm sorry !! "

"the amount of drunk people asking me to be their valentine is....adorable almost," meg said with a soft sigh as she sat by the bar. "i feel like half of them already have one and are just trying to be cute. i'm not really a fan of the holiday though. how about you? indulge me for a minute, hmm?"

She was overwhelmed. And that was putting it lightly. When Eeyore went into work, she wasn't expecting it to be quite so busy. She knew they were short-staffed and after the holidays, rush could be less predictable, but she felt like she hadn't stopped moving for the last six hours. Now that the seats were clearing out and business was finally calming down for the day, she found herself zoning out hardcore, just going through the motions. It was the only way she knew how to deal with the stress. "I'm... sorry." Blinking, realizing she hadn't caught so much as a word of what was said, Eeyore shook her head, trying to physically shake off the brain fog and catch up with the conversation. "What were you saying?"

Open Starter Location: The Threads Three

Alexis was closing shop up for the night, sweeping up stray threads on the floor that missed the garbage bin. The shop had an ethereal and warm atmosphere, but also a slightly unsettling one. No one knew the real reason for snipping and sewing thread together all day. It was monotonous because Alexis had already spent many lifetimes cutting the threads of life. She didn't necessarily want to do it for income as well. Still, she had a sense of duty and pride she couldn't push away when it came to her work. She had just dumped the dustpan of thread and random debris into the bin when she heard the bells of the door open. Thinking that was strange she walked from the backroom to the front of the store and said, "we're closed." One of her sisters must have forgotten to lock the front door and flip the sign before bolting out of there. Typical, she thought. Alexis sighed and set the broom aside and forced a smile for the possible patron. It would be wrong to push them away. Life was about balance and perhaps this person needed some. "Is there something I can help you with? If you have something to drop off I can have it ready by the end of the day tomorrow." Her smile never faltered despite the frustration brewing within her. "Well, out with it. What do you need?"
