D - for Design ✏️📒 and Dandelion Seeds 💛✨ #everydaycreativeatoz hosted by fellow creator @jennifercockcroft 🌈 I was looking through an old sketchbook to show you some of my design work, when I came across this piece of artwork using dandelion seeds I had collected💖 I love dandelions and their magical little seeds of wishes 💕 Although this may not translate into a jewellery design directly - it is a starting point and inspiration from which ideas may develop into something tangible ⭐️ #designinspiration #dandelion #seeds #sketchbooks

Z - for Ruby in Zoisite 💎 #everydaycreativeatoz Feeling rather ‘Zen’ as we reach the final day of the A to Z challenge! I would like to thank @jennifercockcroft for hosting this fun and creative A to Z theme! Also, many thanks to everyone who has joined in and supported each other along the way with comments and feedback 😘 It has been fascinating to see all the creative posts each day - especially for those more difficult letters! 🤔💖👏😊 I started this challenge with a gemstone and will now end with another of my favourites...... Y - for Yacht ⛵️ #everydaycreativeatoz with @jennifercockcroft What a ‘year’ it’s been! Back in January we went to visit our daughter and her boyfriend on the beautiful island of Antigua 🌴 We had the most amazing time being shown round the island.....hiking, sailing, swimming and snorkelling - I got to see a huge turtle swimming beneath me! 🐢 We chartered this yacht which was a great way to see the island 😎 Here we are anchored in a beautiful bay for the night ⚓️ One of my favourite things to do is to go Stand up Paddleboarding or SUPing for short! You can see we had a bright ‘yellow’ paddle board which was great fun! 💛 So on this winter solstice I look forward to the longer days of summer ahead ☀️ #yachting #thisyear #antigua #brightyellow (at Sheer Rocks)

V - for Volcano 🌋 #everydaycreativeatoz with @jennifercockcroft Whilst sailing the Dodecanese Greek Islands last year, we visited the Island of Nisyros. It is home to a volcano, so we hired quad bikes and went to explore..... 🏍 This tiny volcanic island is absolutely fascinating - you can make your way to a pretty mountain village that is hidden from the sea. From here you can see into the craters in the centre of the island. Although it is an active volcano it is currently ‘dozing’ so we were able to walk down into one of the hydrothermal craters. You can feel the heat beneath your feet and knowing that the crust is only 15cm deep in parts, it is quite a scary experience! 😱😱😱 If you scroll through my photos you will see the hot ‘Vapour’ coming out of the crater 🌫😮 I love the texture of the surface close up - a great source of inspiration ✨ I was quite relieved when we left the surface inside the crater and headed up to the village to catch the sunset! 🌋☀️⛵️⚓️💖 #volcano #greekislands #vapour #textures

T - for Temporary Tattoo 🧡🌼🧡 #everydaycreativeatoz with @jennifercockcroft Whilst on holiday in Mauritius a few years ago, a local woman gave me a henna tattoo ✨ This is just after she had finished painting the floral design. Once it is dry, the thicker parts of the paste fall off and you are left with the stain from the dye giving it a more subtle look 😍 #tattooart #hennatattoo #hennadesign#mauritius (at The Oberoi Mauritius)
