What I do When I Don’t feel Like Writing

I take a small break, for a day or two. Then I check out other fics on my to-read list. I chat with my friends and work on a different hobby. BUT what inspires me most when I’m feeling down and unproductive about finishing my WIPs is reading the excited comments on them and having conversations with people who are invested in the story. Because seeing how much it MATTERS to THEM lights a fire under my ass unlike anything else. It makes me feel like, yeah, maybe my ideas aren’t shit. And maybe this story is just as important to someone else as it is to me. And that counts for something, especially when I’m paralyzed by writer’s block, or I’ve been too distracted to get my ideas out in any coherent fashion. It counts for a lot. Because excited readers are inspiring, and reviews are encouraging, and remembering to enjoy the process of figuring a story out is damn satisfying once I get out of my own head and remember to have fun with it. OK, I’m done rambling. I’m gonna go finish a damn chapter now.

This 2021 I started drawing and painting. It's been very difficult to overcome my own fears. I've studied and practiced a lot. I know I still have too much to learn but at some point I had to start: from scratch. As y'all know, I found my inspiration in Norman. Here's my progress: It was also a very busy year in terms of writing. Tbh, I only discovered A03 this year but I loved the idea of fanfiction and started writing and writing. Once again, my inspiration: Norman. Our cashew flowers actually lasted pst the February winds and are still hanging on for the first time! The tree itself has been flowering since its first year but have yet to keep flowers long enough to fruit. This year looks very promising. This year wasn’t bad for me. I’m not gonna lie it has been rough, but this year opened my eyes. I learned to love myself, put myself first, get closer to God, bonded more with my love ones, learned alooot about people, cut off all negativity, let go of what doesn’t serve me. I’m grateful for this year. Praying that next year is waaay better💕
