Far lighter than my usual asks. Does Kanto know the seismic Sense? If so what was it like for him learning from toph a skill she rarely taught as she mainly teaches metalbending. Also id he did know and lived which one of them would teach Lin earthbending, metalbending and the seismic Sense?

I was actually thinking about this! I feel like it would be cute if he wanted to learn when Toph is pregnant. She told him that she could feel the heartbeat and he just wants to hear it for himself!
So like, she would help him and train him a bit, and while learning seismic sense doesn’t automatically make you able to detect heartbeats, I feel like Kanto would work hard on the ability so that he can feel it. Toph thinks it’s cute he wants to learn so she does her best to teach him, and I’d like to think that he’s successful in figuring it out :)
As for teaching the metalbabies… I think they’d play it by ear. Toph would obviously have more experience teaching so she’d probably do it the most. She’d be a tough teacher, but she also knows how to change her teaching style for students, so I see her being able to help her kids. She’d push them a ton, only because she knows they’re gonna be great metalbenders.
Kanto loves teaching and watching them improve as well! I bet they either take turns for training, or they just have family practice sessions where they’re all outside learning new moves together. For seismic sense, Toph probably teaches the technique, but Kanto helps them understand how to use it as someone who isn’t vision impaired.
All their kids would be earthbenders/metalbenders and Toph and Kanto are always so excited when they learn that and they just love sparring sessions! So much fun and it’s their favorite thing to do on the weekends.
