I made the mistake of going through the Evanescence and Amy Lee tags today, and it was as usual full of hate, mockery, posts about that stupid fanfiction that is often used to mock the band because of reasons, lame jokes about Bring Me To Life (that song is not called Wake Me Up by the way. If you are going to mock, at least do it the right way), and so on. But as I was venting about it to a friend, he only answered with “There are good posts too, no ? Just focus on these, screw the negative people !”, and just like that I decided to change my mindset regarding this issue. I asked the co-blogger here, and they are more than okay with my idea so here it goes : from now on, we will be reblogging POSITIVE posts about Evanescence and the bandmembers. Promoting the good things will not make the bad vanish from the tags, but we hope this initiative will make the Evanescence side of Tumblr seem less shitty to people who are just becoming accustomed to it, or to people who only visit the main tags and not the safe spaces the fans have created. We hope this will make some of you smile =)

I love how many people tell the band that they saved lives. I'm not being sarcastic, it's amazing to see how many people Evanescence's music has reached and touched. To know that, at some point in those people's life, shit was so bad they thought about giving up and then Evanescence happened to then, that gives me chills!

Please block and report @sacrificesworld. We know we have asked you this countless of times but that person is still getting lots of notes from posts they have stolen. In this case, I (@twistedenemy) am even more annoyed because this post has 20+ notes although the person added “source:amershartzler”. Seriously, people ! Are you dumb or do you not give a single shit about the people working their ass off for your enjoyment ?! I’m sorry I’m being mean, but this is exhausting and frustrating and this gif was created by someone working on the blog I founded so I feel responsible for them getting fucked over by reposters. Sacrificesworld makes it very clear with this caption that they know they are stealing and that they know where to find the original post. This is the biggest middle finger in the creator’s face I have ever seen ! Stop supporting people like that, please ! It makes us all want to give up. Is that what you want ? No more creations for the Ev fandom ? Please, we beg you, take actions even by just never giving notes to the reposters. This person has been getting notes and followers on our backs for years now, I don’t think people can take this any longer.
