Exactly Zero - All Together
Exactly Zero is a two-piece indie-rock band drawing on elements of electronica & psychedelia. The band comprises of Ollie Barron (Shoot More Holes) and Daniel Parsons (Amongst the Pigeons). They meet up nearly every Thursday night to write and record new music.
It has been a slow start for Exactly Zero having released their debut single in November 2016 and the follow up in September 2017. Now things are ramping up with the release of their debut album DEFIANCE which is out this Summer.
ALL TOGETHER was the last track to be recorded for the album and showcases the sound of the band with programmed beats, synthetic soundscapes, psychedelic riffs and driving guitars. The lyrics follow an on-going theme seen throughout the album focusing on the need to be united and helping each other to defeat negativity and the battles we face in the world.
As with all the tracks on the forthcoming album, ALL TOGETHER was recorded in Daniels shed – or ‘shedio’ as it is affectionately known. The promo video to support the release was filmed on Shoreham Beach just after the March snowstorms. During the filming, Daniel fell into the sea and ended up being rather cold and wet for the rest of the morning.
The single comes backed with two remixes and will be released digitally by Dirty Robot Records on 4 May 2018.

The 1707 bit from Crack Flag isn’t making it into the anime, mostly for time reasons, but I decided that the trio’s opening song freeze-frames will come from that scene.
