God.

I struggle with the belief in god.

I will NEVER follow the Bible.

I do not believe in Jesus Christ or that story.

I see god as a higher supernatural being/all knowing power or an immensely wisely perfected, pure, and intelligent version of myself.

It’s more of an “It” instead of a “He.”

I don’t think I should call it a “He” because it’ll adhere to societal views of western adopted Catholicism/Christianity. For all I know, she could be black. So I don’t associate any race or gender to it.

If you seek God, you will find God. I am an Ex-Atheist

Antagonistic condescending descriptions of my life previous to being an Ex-Atheist does not describe me. I’m so tired of having the argument(s) that say I was only an Atheist for petty immature social reasons, rather than having a personal understanding of the world through a scientifically and/or philosophically secular view of the world and the universe. I really did believe that there was no God, that God was nothing more than a hypothesis and a weak one, but as I experimented with faith in God and putting into practice to the things I was invited to do to come to know if God really existed, I came to really know that there is in fact a God and I did it without even having a desire to prescribe to a religion in the first place. My mind and my heart were open to receive the truth that was promised to me and it was received.

I do not make this post to shame Atheists, I would never shame someone for choosing to not believe, that’s your choice and I’m no one to dictate your life choices, but I do make this post in defense of myself and other Ex-Atheists who are constantly shamed and mocked for their decisions to leave behind the Atheistic worldview. My genuine love for my Atheists friends has done nothing but grow ever since my conversion and I thought it couldn’t grow any bigger. 

I know that God, our Heavenly Father lives. You can too.

Gratification

The fact that I can confidently proclaim that I am an Ex-Atheist in the 21st Century is an amazing feeling. I’ve never felt so free and liberated in all of my lifetime. 

Truly knowing that there is a God brings me true peace, comfort, and happiness, of which I cannot compare any temporal source to.
