Dick: Sorry about them, Danny. They're just super protective of Bruce.

Jason: Be grateful it's just words they're using. They tried stabbing the last guy.

Dick: They stabbed him LIGHTLY! Barely a graze. You'll be fine.

Cass: I don't think that's as comforting as you think Dick.

Duke: Personality I would posion you but I'm classy like that.

I felt like holydays so

Father's day in the batfamily is a mess

It was always a nice, thoughtfull gift, really made with gratitude, with love

It took Bruce a few years to give something to Alfred, but he's always done so since then, he's always tried at least, he only missed one year and there wasn't much he could do about that, but he gave Alfred two gifts the next time

His kids, on the other hand, only shared that feeling the first two times at most, and even though they have skipped it all together a few times each, when they come back it's always joke gifts

It started with Dick's ugly "na-na-na-na batdad!" knitted sweater, he couldn't tell if it was on purpose or not and he had to wear it, he couldn't not do it

Maybe that's why he kept giving him those things, but his first Nightwing suit made him doubt that he ever consider them ugly at all, even now

Jason's gift made him cry, it was a joke, of course it was, but it was still proof that he considered him his father, and that was enough, so he wore the shirt that said "I'm adoption addiction's whole support group" until Jason begged him to stop

Tim got him the "World's okayest father"mug

Cass gave him a shirt that said "I'm not scared if anything i have three five seven? children" with the number clearly changed with permanent marker

Damian wanted to mess with all of them and also gave him a shirt that said "My favorite child gave me this shirt" but because everyone knew how he is they didn't mind much

Steph refuses to accept she's the one leaving him cupcakes that spell dad jokes

“First of all, what you’re NOT going to do is come into my house and disrespect me.

Second, it feels fucking amazing, take out, delivery, and going to 5 star restaurants (on yelp) is something I CAN do frequently provided by my own income. I tried my hand at cooking and you know what? I came to the realization that I would just admire from a afar, not everyone can hone every skill in the world and frankly I realized what I was weak at unlike you and this over saturated  disparage trying to cut me down. I know when I’m reaching. 

So, the next time you’re choking on your half baked "home cooked” meal, think of me and the fact that I never in my life have to taste an overcooked, over salted, charred or unrested piece of food in my mouth ever again.

On a slightly dumber note, I was skimming the backs of the books and this was what happened in my head.

Me: Ooh, this Green Lantern book is about Kyle Rayner! Interesting!

Me: Ooh, this Flash book is about Wally West!  Hooray!

Me: Ooh, I wonder who this Batman book is about! 

Me: ........ 

Me: I shouldn't tell anyone about this.
