The team behind the Witcher Netflix account isn't that great. Hence why they miss out on Ciri, we didn't even get Ciri bloopers or Yen or Jaskier bloopers (and from the sounds of it from Joey, there was a lot!)

Honestly? I agree. And like... I know jaskier stans probably sound annoying for just really wanting some kind of jaskier content, and we should just appreciate what's coming out, but like... it's difficult to appreciate what's coming from the promotional team when our first promotional thing for s2 had...

1.) The main character looking just Dark and Brooding with The Worst Armor Ever (ik the armor isn't the promo team's fault but like... what about stills with him and ciri! Or him and Roach! Or something that doesn't make him look grimdark and edgy and brooding??? Like Henry Cavill switched to playing Batman instead of Superman??? Sigh)

2.) Another main character, one whose whole arc in s1 was about gaining power and freedom and choice... in CHAINS. Like, RI photos came out 2 weeks later with Anya and Freya being cute (and thank Goodness for that honestly), so like... obvi Idk what they'd already filmed but I find it difficult to believe that her in chains was like... the Only thing they had to promote.)

So the only thing in the three days I was just excited/happy about WAS Ciri's pictures! I love her new look! My baby's gonna FIGHT! It was the only thing that didn't:

1.) Inspire me to make fun of it into the next century (okay I did poke fun at the Elsa braid but that's Affectionate bc I love frozen)

2.) Make me fucking MAD AND UPSET (the only good thing that came from the chained yen pic (and no jaskier promo) was the prison pals au. THAT'S IT!)

And the whole "oh just ~wait and see~" thing where they stretch promotional stuff across different days? ...I don't feel like they do it in the best way.

Like... I've BEEN in fandoms that have done promo material over a course of days/not all at once to make people wait & build up hype (like TUA), and it's not a bad thing necessarily. It can be great!

The difference between the way TWN does it and TUA did it is that the TUA crew would give us new & interesting material over a few days/weeks that actually pertained to s2 & made us anticipate the next day with excitement and not think "well that last thing was weird I hope this'll be good" or "I wanna be excited but I'll get my hopes up", which both myself and other Witcher fans have said about s2 promo things.

I think the difference is that the TUA crew made us anticipate actual s2 content and not random things from s1/an anime we're impartial to. Like, honestly the witchmas thing was barely a s2 promotion event imo because we got like 1 thing pertaining to s2 (except the script page that came out after the event which... hurt my heart)

And bloopers? YES I feel like we needed more! Like yeah I appreciate A Sexy Greased Pig as much as the next person (except I probably don't bc I'm Not Attracted To Henry Cavill) and Myanna's bloopers were cute, but... give us Joey being silly! Or Anya! Or Freya!

(Honestly I still think there's probably a blooper of the scene where Geralt carried Jaskier over his shoulder in ep 5 in which Joey just lifted his head and smiled/made a dumb face at the camera)

I kinda ripped into the promos for this ask... I guess I had alot to say. I don't want to sound like An Entitled Fan, but These Are My Thoughts.
