Is there anything we can do to help it along? I know it’s something you’ve wanted to do for a while, and I think I recall you saying you’re not quite up for the mammoth task of editing right now, but it terms of actually getting it published, anything we can do?
I’m talking Go Fund Me style help etc etc. or anything really. I would bet my last custard cream that many of us would happily donate for the cause.
Sometimes I think about a reality where I never get to hold a physically copy of Excultus in my hands, and it genuinely makes my stomach drop. It deserves to be in the ‘real world’. Truly

Right now, I'm deep in a long WIP and that'll be the case for a good while yet. After that, I'll check in with myself and see if the time is right for Excultus. I find editing to be an unbelievably isolating and miserable process which shreds my confidence into confetti. I've tried doing it alone several times; it doesn't work. I will need help. I just don't know what kind of help would be best yet.
For now, I'm going to sail onwards with my WIP. I'm still in creative recovery after the pandemic, and time on AO3 is very healing for me. It's nice just to write and have fun with a set of characters. It does me good.
