48. Painting their nails

It started the first time you looked at your new tattoos in the dark. Fascinated with the way they glowed, you spent whole minutes studying your arms with a goofy smile, tracing the lines with a long finger and for a moment, feeling like a true super hero.

You wondered what else you could bring about that could enhance that effect further, and your prayers were answered the next time you went to the store.

You never knew glow-in-the-dark nail polish existed, but it seemed like the perfect solution to you. You checked it out and tried it as soon as you got home, closing all the doors and windows to your room to emulate an early night.

After you applied it you were absolutely enchanted, reviewing your new look in the mirror and grinning even more widely at it.

And then, out of the blue, Jade walks in.

You had completely forgotten she was supposed to come over, and now she catches you in your room, completely in the dark, shirtless and looking like a rave has just started on your skin.

There are different ways you can live with this, and thankfully, you are way too excited to be embarrassed right now.

You hold the nail polish up to her.

"Jade, you are totally gonna try this out! We can both glow in the dark!!"

16. In an Embarrassing/Provocative Costume

"Oh, no..." Neil went pale when he saw Mira coming towards the shop. He looked down at himself. His boss wanted to try out a new marketing strategy, and let's just say it involved him in a cupcake outfit. His cheeks reddened, going from pale to pink in a matter of seconds.

Shit. It was bad enough having strangers see him like this, but someone he knew? Hoping she hadn't seen him yet, he slunk back into the store, a metaphorical tail between his legs.
