I live in Utah and I’m Mormon/exmormon
I live in Utah and I’ve never been involved in the church
I don’t live in Utah and I’m Mormon/exmormon and see Utah as a center of sorts
I don’t live in Utah and I’m not Mormon but I see it as ‘the Mormon state’
I don’t live in Utah and I don’t think of it as Mormon

Who knows maybe there’s a part of the population who knows Utah solely for rocks and salt lake as a biggish city

Flying is beautiful.
My story may or may not be interesting. See, I used to be a Mormon, or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints aka LDS. I was born into the religion and lived it fully believing that it would save me. Then one day I found out that my husband had concerns and instead of running the other directions I told him we would do this together.
I was going to be the wife that was going to make this marriage work with a believer holding everyhing together while the husband stayed home and became inactive. I had told myself I can to it alone to save my family. Only problem was once I went down the rabbit hole and we started looking into his questions and finding answers I decided to open up about my questions I never sought answers for. Why? Because I feared one day it would lead me out of the church. Out of my safety net.
It didn’t take long before all I wanted was TRUTH. As I began to see the light and that I had chained myself to the ground believing I could never fly. Never being who I knew was inside. I had to twist, shape, mold, and move who I was on the inside to make the chains comfortable. The chains were heavy and as much as I tried could never be comfortable.
Then as I realized the chains were not bolted to the ground but just laying on top of me I stood up and looked into the sky above. Seeing truth brought light back into my life. I soon realized I could fly and decided to take off. It was scary at first but I soon realized I was made to fly and be in the light.
I hope to use this blog as an outlet of my feelings as I am dealing with leaving Mormonism and trying to leave it behind. It’s been almost two years since I started my journey and a little over a year since my little family left.
Probably the most evil thing about this cult is that it thrives off of children. Most of the people in this cult were born into it and groomed to stay in it. Even if we don’t want to go we have no choice because our parents make us go. I feel so fucking trapped here and I want to rip Nelson’s fucking throat out
