Physical Touch Headcanons
APH Japan
Not really into it all that much. Kiku wants to keep it as subtly as possible. A simple pat on the shoulder, hand, or back will do when you want to comfort him. Most of the time that would be reciprocated.
During the winter time he’ll gladly hold his partner’s hand to keep warm.
When he’s feeling affectionate he’ll pet his partner’s hair, ruffle it, and even run his fingers through it.
He knows how to read the atmosphere, so when he senses that his partner is tired he’ll gladly give them a shoulder massage. In addition to playing with his partner’s hair, sometimes he would lightly scracth on their scalp, too.
When you get close to him enough, you can pinch his cheeks to reprimand him and he’ll do the same to you. He’s likely to learn from his partner more than initiate physical touch himself.
APH China
Yao also likes to pat his partner’s head but it has something to do with his partner accomplishing something rather than him just being affectionate towards them.
Unlike Kiku, he’s not too shy about holding his partner’s hand. He’s used to holding hands because his siblings would often get lost in his towns cause of the complicated pathways and crowds. This habit rubs off on him even if he is just leading his partner to a nearby restroom or maybe even if they’re just on a walk together.
It’s not as conventionally affectionate but Yao is also very used to playfights. He has a lot of siblings and they do playfights a lot. He would sometimes lightly shove his partner around or maybe give them a light slap on their back when he’s trying to tease them.
This has hints of acts of service to it, but he really likes to do his patner’s hair. He likes to style them and that involves him playing with their hair for the majority of the time.
The main thing about him is he likes laying his hand on his partner’s shoulder. When he’s excited he pats their shoulder. When he greets them he places his hand on their shoulder along with their greeting.
APH Russia
Ivan is fond of holding hands, linking arms together, and if allowed he also enjoys having his arms wrapped around his partner’s waist. He has a firm grip on his partner’s hand if ever they do choose to hold hands together as they walk.
He likes it when his partner takes his hand and starts playing with his palm, especially when they squish it. He loves it when they squeeze his hand or when his partner lightly slaps it from both of their hands.
He’s one of the few who doesn’t mind having to carry his partner. He sometimes carries them in his arms or on his back, especially if he is feeling jolly.
He’s very stiff when it comes to cuddling. More often than not he will lay on his back while his partner rests on him and he just stays still. He may wrap his arms around his partner, but he won’t go any further than that if his partner doesn’t say anything. Hurting them is the last thing he wants to do.
He really likes to dance and in his free time he would teach his partner how to dance. It can range from ballet to the waltz, but he especially likes to slow dance. It gives him time with his partner and still have them close together. He tenderly wraps his arms around them and sometimes rests his head atop of theirs as they dance to soft classical music together.
