Ralsei x Reader who has Epilepsy

Depending on your triggers, you might have had a seizure when you first entered Castle Town. Or you isolated yourself so you wouldn't have one.

While he already carried multiple soft items on him, he would have started to carry a few more upon learning what a seizure did. Even if you haven't had a seizure for a while, he still carries those items.

He usually walks at your pace, so he notices how often you stop to sit down. If you sit down often enough, he'll start thinking about commissioning someone to make benches around Castle Town.

If you mention that you forgot to take your medication, Ralsei will try to recommend ways to remember. For some reason, he has one of those pill boxes that track down medication during the week; he is more than willing to give you the box, since he doesn't use it anymore.

Whenever you need to isolate, he'll point you in the direction of a quiet corner. While he doesn't know the full extent of your anxiety, he knows how overwhelming it can be when surrounded by people.

Not sure how often that would come up in 1899 but I’ll see what I can do. Disclaimer: I also don’t have photosensitive Epilepsy so I’m sorry if I get stuff wrong/miss something.

I couldn’t really separate these by character cause there wasn’t much I could think of. So this is for the most part “character ambiguous” meaning it could be whatever character(s) you want.

If the two of you ever go to the movies  / “Picture show”

“As friends” but totally as a pretend date in their mind

They’ll make sure to thoroughly ask if there’s any flashing of any sort in the film

They’ll also (without you knowing) go see it once themselves to judge if it’s safe enough for you to watch

If fireworks and lightning are things that affect you, 

They’ll put their hat on your head as quick as they can

And… omg you look so adorable in their hat

Their heart is melting, why are you so cute

If gunfire/explosions affect you

You are not allowed on the battlefield

You can help plan out heists and robberies but you don’t get to come along

For your own protection

Everyone will agree, they’d rather keep you safe

Kris Dreemur x Reader who has Epilepsy

If you take any medication, Kris will do their best to remind you about it. They weren't told what the medication was for, but they knew it was important.

Kris notices how often you sit down, and will sit with you whenever you do. After enough times, they start to keep track of how many minutes it takes for you to sit down after walking.

Whenever they're pranking you, they avoid anything that could trigger a seizure. Knowing that stress could cause one, they try to not scare you for a prank.

If you can't sleep, they'll either stay up with you or try to help you sleep. They will most likely pick the second option, since being sleep-deprived doesn't help anyone.

If you get seizures from loud or sudden noises, Kris does their best to keep the noise down. This results in them not talking a lot, since they need to really concentrate in order to control their volume. * The headcanon for why they don't talk a lot is mentioned here (https://bookof-xreaders.tumblr.com/post/669164588190908416/random-fluff-hcs-w-kris).

Susie x Reader who has Epilepsy

She would probably not know the full extent of it, but would notice how you sometimes struggle with things. Most of the time, she will do her best to help.

Whenever you sit down or take a break, Susie will be right there with you. She's usually silent during these breaks, but will talk if you start.

If contact stops your seizures (such as pinching, a light slap on the arm, etc), Susie is likely to do it. If it makes your seizures worse, she will refrain from that. * She usually likes having physical contact with her friends. If you get spooked by her normal forms of contact, she will try to tone it down.

If you often forget to take medication, she will try to remind you. She might forget to, though, depending on how the day was.

If flashing lights trigger your seizures, Susie will try to quickly notify you if there are any nearby. This mainly happens while walking through Hometown or when playing video games together.
