I’m really encouraged by how God reveals himself to Moses as Yahweh. It simply means He is who He is. And He is the beginning and the end. What does that even look like? Yahweh is that which we can’t even comprehend. 🤯 He chose Moses to do a big thing. I believe there are some big things He’s choosing us to do, too. We really can do it with Yahweh on our side.

“Exodus (I AM)” acrylic. 24 x 24 canvas. Exodus chapter 3 is the encounter Moses has with God through the burning bush. God calls Moses. But Moses’ response is fear. He says he can’t speak well. He thinks God has the wrong guy. Moses asks a ton of questions.   Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ God identifies himself as “I am”, the verb to be. Present tense. You might not feel strong, but I AM. You might not feel enough, but I AM.
