Taste and See
Doubting God's goodness because life has left a bitter taste in your mouth?
Sometimes we judge God's character by our circumstances instead of judging our circumstances by His character.
Psalm 34:8 invites us to experience something beautiful: "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."
"Taste and see" means experience for yourself - don't just take someone else's word for it.
That provision that came at just the right moment? Taste His goodness. That peace that flooded your heart during chaos? See His faithfulness. That door that opened when everything seemed closed? Experience His favor.
God's goodness isn't dependent on your good circumstances. His goodness is constant, even when life isn't.
The same God who allowed the trial is the same God who will sustain you through it.
When you take refuge in Him - when you run to Him instead of away from Him during hard times - you discover that He is your safe place, your shelter, your source of blessing.
Today, taste and see for yourself. His goodness is waiting to be experienced, not just believed.
