check-out this gem of a post from '24 I found by accident, essentially addressing grief with the wisdom of GOD—where our hope is shifted to the future rather than buried in the ground, HE is committed to save us continually as we go back to what we know.. || via coloradocowgirlforchrist
that bit about JESUS made me think why there are still oiler fans, despite being a bit of an underdog, it's biblical to root for this despite long droughts bc one day the last shall be first & JESUS will reign again. I used to think it was control too, but s/o convinced me it is staving off #despair bc nothing lasts/measures up & there is the usual gamut of death/disasters/betrayals/reversal of fortunes, what have you being born in sin & wanting what we shouldn't..it all just kills us inside & so we imbibe to forget. RE Knowing JESUS: Worship by Tim Keller [Luke 19:28-40]
P.S. I just watched a TMZ special that went over the findings from NYT's investigation on the death of Jeffrey Epstein, it played off the world's smallest violin where JE was painted as someone who was undergoing depression "As he realized he was not going to escape conviction." Meeting with his team of lawyers for long stretches of the day for "solace," and how the maximum security cell was poorly run by overworked staff, under squalid conditions—even though it didn't look bad in the footage they showed.
Maybe if the entire narrative wasn't total nonsense: "Poor Jeffrey." No one believes a word you're saying bc not only was whoever wrote this bit obviously taking creative freedom to drum up sympathy for JE: He was isolated in a cell & locked up with the most dangerous convicts on the block—but who also tried to talk him out of suicide? How dangerous are these cell mates again? And most of the day he's stuck in this tiny cell, away from general population, who tried to extort him for cash. But for someone who had gotten off scott free under his first conviction, and who is still being protected by his circle of powerful friends, who were paying such high prices to assault children JE could afford to fly these girls on a private jet called "the lolita express." Yet we are supposed to believe Justice was going to send him to jail for life: If only the cameras were all working correctly, and the evidence collected was not botched, and everyone working during those weeks weren't sleeping on the job.
Oh yeah the story is riddled with more holes than bonnie & clyde or that Mexican drug lord you guys ambushed earlier this year. The USG, despite all the story telling prowess, cannot hide that nothing about their claims prove JE didn't escaped alive that night. In light of these facts, which you used to say we should be sorry for him, paints the picture of a concerted effort to get him out. https://youtu.be/_aIfZas2p1s
