The term “in-between time” refers to interruptions in the operational workflow, to unplanned, human deviations from mechanical precision. These deviations should be planned and calculated and thus also optimized.
For her exhibition “Werktag”, the artist is producing, among other things, a walk-in notebook, an absurd protocol that takes place within the rhythm of a standardized eight-hour working day, 9 to 5. “Zwischenzeiten” of the working day are poetically filled. The book object has no beginning and no end, the same thing every day.
