Tims Ford Lake one of the most scenic lakes in the state, it’s also home to the interesting Pennington Cave that you can swim or even kayak into when the water levels are just right. Tims Ford Lake in southern Tennessee is a 10,700-acre reservoir created by the damming of the Elk River, and a favorite summer destination. And while out enjoying the lake on your boat, jet ski or kayak you can even explore Pennington Cave, a small cave found on the lake’s shoreline.
