      ❛    HERE  is  the  problem  !    ❜       his  voice  raises  in  relief  ,    digits  travelling  into  the  little  door  latch  of  Guy’s  invention  ,    slinking  past  a  few  gears  and  various  other  things  in  his  way.      he  points  at  a  mess  of  wires.        “    you’re  connecting  these  in  all  the  wrong  places  !      this  wire  doesn’t  go  here  —  that’s  just  a  surefire  way  of  getting  the  machine  to  completely  malfunction.      it  goes  here  ,    ”        with  his  gloved  fingers  ,    the  Grinch  carefully  rearranges  the  colorful  strings  ,    in  a  way  that  when  he  finishes —— the  wires  look  more  neatly  placed.

        ❛    and-  wait  ,    don’t  tell  me ——   ❜       he  seems  almost  exasperated  as  his  eyes  grow  wide  ,    almost  amused.      the  Grinch  then  plucks  an  entire  gear  from  the  contraption  ,    staring  at  it  in  shock.         ❛    have  you  been  reusing  old  materials  ! ?      Guy — ...  do  you  see  this  ?      how  rusty  and  worn  down  it  is  ?      it  doesn’t  have  its  edge  anymore  !      it’s  all ...  dirty  and ..  not  new.      hoo  boy  ,    you’re  a  mess.    ❜        he  shakes  his  head  ,    placing  the  gear  on  the  table  ,    and  then  pulling  off  his  bulky  gloves  by  the  digits.

well it’s pretty embarrassing that they get so caught up in the whole thing that they somehow end up cuddling together and theyre just so warm and feeling eachother’s soff bodies against one another is just so comforting and they end up falling asleep together all cuddled and hugging w gentle smiles on their faces because This Is Nice.....
