    “Yeah, yeah, I’ll be there as soon as I can be.” Once-ler assured before nudging Nobody away, urging him to get going. As soon as he did, Once-ler walked the other way, going around the corner before pressing himself against the wall. Nobody may have said he didn’t care about the doll-- but Once-ler knew better.

    They had some money put aside, spending money, stuff for fun. And besides, Nobody has been working hard. Why not surprise him with a reward?

    Once-ler frowned a little at how defensive Nobody was being, but didn’t try to argue with him. He’s learned that the other was a prideful creature, and well, so was he. 

    “If you say so...” Once-ler shrugged, adjusting his hold on their bags. Suddenly, he gasps and pushes the bags towards Nobody. “Damnit-- I totally forgot something, here, you take these back to the house and I’ll be there later.”

The Lorax had enough so he stole Once-ler's belt to threaten his family to stop cutting down trees. I hope this sets a good example for all of you.

    “Yeah, well not everyone can do that.” Once-ler sighed, deciding to just not answer the orange creature’s question. Rude little jerk... Once-ler rolled his eyes at his now messy bed, though perks up a bit when he spotted something under it. He crouched down to grab it and smiled fondly.

    “Ah, that’s where you went.” Once-ler said to the bit of fabric, clearly old and worn out. Looks like something that should have been tossed away a long time ago. “Thought it got thrown away when I moved out.”

    Once-ler wasn’t at all convinced. He’s not know Nobody for long, but he’s come to figure that he just wasn’t someone who expressed a whole lot. At least not that Once-ler could see. To see him like this was a little concerning.

    “Well, something caught you eye.” Once-ler hummed before actually looking at the shop window. A doll? He can remember having dolls as a child, though they weren’t as nice as this one. All of his were tattered and old, things that no one really wanted.

    “Do you like it? It’s pretty cute.”
