My personal story is one rife with dishonesty, disloyalty, false promises and charm, emotional and physical abuse, and a whole lot of disappointment and heartache. For years I searched for a man of integrity. It’s a very difficult thing to find in our culture where people’s words are cheap, and their actions and motives center around the self. • Today I embrace every disappointment, every betrayal, every tear shed, and every lesson learned. I became aware in the process. I began to see my worth even when others failed to. I became strong. I got really good at setting boundaries. I stopped letting others put a value on me, and instead put a value on myself. A really high value. I stopped devaluing myself, and started to love myself. And I forgave those who hurt me. • Years later, I am in a very peaceful chapter of my life. The man my friends told me didn’t exist found me. I was told my expectations were too high, and not realistic. He proved them all wrong. Good men do exist. And their actions will tell you everything you need to know. • Let your process take you on a path of awareness and self discovery. Seek the truth, and never stop pursuing it! The truth is you are more valuable than you can ever imagine. You are worthy of love and respect. No matter what you’ve been told, you are smart, you are talented, and you have traits that are unique to you ALONE. You are the only you there will ever be.
