When putting signs side by side, remember to space them properly. Also, avoid stretching or condensing your type artificially, and use a proper apostrophe. Quite a few charges here from the Font Police. (Shared by Mark A. Rayner on Mastodon, where we found it, and reposted by him on Tumblr here.)

Happy Kwanzaa Kwanzaa
What is it?

It’s been eight months since I started living as an Au Pair in another family’s home and even longer since the whole journey started. I should’ve started documenting everything earlier but as many know, especially when you got kids to look after, things don’t always go as planned.
I started reading this woman’s blog about her life and her kids and all that and that kid of got me motivated to write since there is actually happening a lot in my life.
Living in a different country, in a “strange” family’s house and looking after kids that aren’t yours, comes with a package. There are benefits and downsides. And, also important, a lot of interesting moments that can be super funny or so frustrating that you want to punch a hole in the wall.
As I write I want to be honest and share all the good and less good things. (Just this moment my three year old host kid called his mom a tricky cow. I get sentences like this all day long and I often don’t even know what to give as an answer.)
This is just my first post to get this thing started. I have a ton of stories to tell but no one would want to read them if they're all huddled together in one post. Most things will be from the past months since I’ve been here for so long but my time here won’t be over after my first year since I chose to extend (more about extending in another post) so new stories will come.
