I made another Au.

Shortly after the boys got mutated, the human race faced a pandemic that wiped out the entire population. With the humans gone, yokai went up to live on the surface, and everything was great. The boys stayed and were raised by Draxum.

Until a human washed up on the shore, found by the boys. That’s April!

They bring her back and due to the fact that she’s Considered an endangered species and the turtles were excited and curious. She became draxums problem. Now there are a happy family!

I literally just found out about your au and already have some questions (which is great because usually AU's don't get me hooked this quickly)

1; do the brothers know english?

2; how long has it been since the pandemic

3; is Draxum a good/decent dad in this at least or is it an Empyrean Weeping situation again?

Haha I’m glad you’re enjoying it! It’s my first slice of life comic.

Yes. The turtles speak English very well and Leo occasionally speaks Spanish. They just like to talk turtle to each other on occasion, especially when out so that no one else knows what they are saying

It’s been about 13 years since the pandemic and 11 years since humanity was declared extinct

As for draxum… he parallel to how he is in the show. Well.. after Mikey gets to him haha, since his whole thing was about protecting yokai from humans and then humans weren’t a thing anymore. He had four kids and no direction

He’s strict and supportive, protective to a point and loves them dearly. He’s a good dad and still taught them to fight but mostly left them to their own devices

For extinction AU --- where Splinter? Did he die in the pandemic?

Excellent question. Short answer. Yes

Long answer. When he was Lou he was already sick. Just not as sick as everyone else because of his isolation from other humans. While he was in the nexus.

But after Draxum used him to mutate the boys the process weakened him and he succumbed to the illness just like everyone else shortly after. Not before blowing up draxums lab but come on.

And this point losing the lab is just part of the character. Hahah

Saw the post about Donnie being very sensitive to noise, and 1 as an autistic I relate to this a lot 2 Donnie was always my favorite anyways. So I kinda wanted to draw, but also was too lazy to draw something for real. So here's a lazy colored sketch
