Introducing...

Harold Huginn! Dont look into the name I just thought of it on the spot lol but uh anyway this is my Extinction avatar oc I mentioned.

He's a doomsday prepper and conspiracy theorist who bought a geiger counter from a weird pawn shop that doesnt work except when something bads about to happen. Then it throws him into the future (he doesnt know this but its his fear domain in the eyepocalypse) and gets marked by the extiction. He knows he actually went to the future because when he came back he was covered in sunburns despite being in a dim room for the past few hours and had an awful bout of nausea. (I have a statement prepped that gives more detail but it wasn't entirely terrified and kind of enjoyed the fact there were no humans there.)

It then starts becoming an avatar and starts feeding on people ofc but it doesn't really knows whats happening. They also start unknowingly trying to do rituals.

They're themed after global warming, nuclear fallout, roaches and how/if your choices affect the future.

Uh anyway thats all I've got so far, I want to develop him more during RP and also leave room for things to happen.

I don’t know if it’s cringe to talk about ocs, but cringe is dead

As someone who is getting my master’s degree and trying to do my research on stuff adjacent to the climate crisis, I can’t stop thinking about how Extinction Avatar coded that is

Specifically, I’m imagining a character who became an avatar to try and prevent The Extinction from actually happening by using the Fear of it to inspire people to action. But, as anything involved with TMA, they get a bit lost in service of their Entity

The False Angel of the Eternal Apocalypse.

Uhmm. TMA Extinction avatar OC. Was “sent visions” of a hellish post-apocalyptic world and then distorted into a sort of irradiated bird covered in tar sort of thing (meant to be a poor recreation of what humanity could become) which JUST SO HAPPENS to look (and kinda speak) like an angel if you’re, I don’t know, frightened enough of an end of the world scenario to listen 👀 more yap under the read more.

It uses its appearance and glimpses of the future to isolate and spread its knowledge to others, twisting the truth of it to sound like a religious rapture, which the victim will not be saved from and will suffer in, kind of starting a chain reaction of fear-mongering? Sort of. I’ve had this thing for like 3 days things are iffy.

It’s a very silently erratic ‘person’, being definitely empowered by its role, but at the same time unbeatably troubled and often still confused by the actual hellscape future(s) it was shown. The Angel should be at the club bruh

This is all under a sort of AU for TMA where The Extinction was given enough time to form and was able to create avatars. The Angel (placeholder name until I find another that fits) is one of the first, and so is less of a “I’M GOING TO START THE APOCALYPSE RIGHT NOW AND END THE WOLD THE WORLD IS ALWAYS ENDING” avatar and more of a “spread the word of The Terrible Change until many more people acknowledge and fear it. It sees itself as a sort of herald of The Extinction instead of some general apocalypse.

Um. It has a ‘friend’/“End avatar who doesn’t really have anything better to do than babysit a fledgling avatar of a closely overlapping fear” who I’ll try to draw soon. He’s stupid. His name is. Janeth ‘Jan’ Dohe. YES. JAN DOHE.
