You ever wonder what the most violent, bloodthirsty, and absolutely unhinged primate to ever exist is? A chimp? A gorilla? Maybe a baboon with a bad attitude?

Nah. It’s YOU. And I’m not talking about "humans" in some vague, academic, dissociative way. I mean YOU, reading this, right now. The next time you see your reflection, just know that you’re staring at the most vicious, genocidal, mass-murdering apex predator to ever walk the Earth.

And the worst part? Humans don’t even NEED to kill each other. We just fucking love it.

📉 HUMAN VIOLENCE? BUILT DIFFERENT.

Before you start protesting, let’s look at the cold, hard stats. The animal kingdom is violent, sure, but humans? We take it to a level so absurd, it makes sharks look like pacifists.

Killer Chimps vs. Killer Humans

Chimpanzees, our closest relatives, kill about 1-2% of their own population through violent aggression.

Humans? We averaged 12-15% murder rates in prehistoric societies.

During the Middle Ages? Murder rates were around 30-40 per 100,000 annually. And that’s just casual killing. You know, a bar fight, a bad day, an "oops, I stabbed a guy" situation. When we get serious? We wipe entire civilizations off the planet.

War? Just a Tuesday for Humans

In the 20th century alone, over 200 million people died in wars and state-led violence.

WWII? 85 million deaths.

Mao’s Great Leap Forward? 45 million deaths.

Stalin’s purges? 20 million dead.

The Atlantic Slave Trade? 12-15 million transported, millions more dead.

Native American genocide? Tens of millions wiped out. That’s just organized, industrial-scale murder. We haven’t even gotten to individual-level atrocities yet.

Serial Killers: We’re the Only Species That Does It for Fun

In nature, predatory animals kill for survival. They don’t murder for fun.

Humans are the only species that kills for sport, ritual, and sheer fucking amusement.

Ted Bundy? Jeffrey Dahmer? Ed Gein? The only thing separating them from an entire Viking warband is time and opportunity. We are the ONLY animals that enjoy causing suffering.

Fake love....you hate us IRL

( to clarity I don't actually mean higgs IRL people say they want I mean someone like him with his same issues and mental health ). Though the trio of you are seen as best friends, they can't help but feel like they think of you as something more, though what that feelings may be, is something that they aren't sure themselves.

To the people of Mondstadt, you spoke of tales that didn't exist so vividly and precise that they believed that you constantly made these places in your dreams, with Fischl calling you Der zweite Seher, or The Second Seer, with you also making what could be described as either a one-use or prototype glider, according to Amber. Yet, for the tales of Teyvat and Barbatos, you often knew as much as the tales and books left, though it does seem to have been expanded in conjunction to the traveler's.

To the people of Liyue, you were known on how to be convincing to merchants in lowering their prices while seemingly able to point out higher quality items, as well as giving those who lowered their prices tips on how to improve the material quality. Which seemed like a neat gimmick of you to most, but proved fruitful to those that took your advice.

Though Capitano has since passed on from this world, when your companions that saw him march onto the throne of the primal flame couldn't help but be curious at your reaction. Where the rest held honor and remorse for his death, you seemed be at a form of peace, too quickly for them to come to terms with.

And to a degree, they would be right.

For you are indeed a vessel for human souls. But what couldn't have been expected, was how many souls you held. For it was not just the souls of the past 500 years that you held, nor was it a civilization's people that you held in them.

Instead, you held the souls of countless humans from a world that they have long since destroyed, Earth, they called it, and according to them, held over 110 billion humans over its existence.

And it was due to them, that you had your skills.

Most of what you had "discovered", for Teyvat couldn't be described as yours, with it often being some of the humans of Earth that made discoveries.

Your skills were forged in blood and sweat. But not yours. Rather, it was the cost of billions over the course of many years that honed your skills, with every death and subsequent rebirth being ingrained into your mind.

And even your personality and morals weren't yours!

For after what became known as the Civilization War, the factions that held their morals near the end of Earth succeeded, and forged your values, with the only thing that you could say you had control over being your looks, but that too often has a price, often in the form of you exploring the nation that you're in and acquiring a variety of items for them, whether that would be ruin guard fragments, the gear of fallen warriors that hold elemental properties, or even monster parts.

And though you have gained a higher amount of control over them, you may often be blindsided when dealing with them, for in order to do so more effectively, you must have your consciousness travel into your mind and confront them, leaving your body vulnerable.

But what worries you, is the rate that they are adapting, and are able to roam Teyvat on their own, for during the War in Natlan, you sent various strike teams from the best nations across Earth to aid the warriors as much as possible, but even as they all are inside of you as of now, you feel like that gate way is permanently open, just not fully as of now.

As the three of you prepare to head to Nod-Krai, you worry what should happen there due to the inevitability that you three would be dragged into the nation's conflict. And whether or not this new land, will serve as the catalyst for a people whose world is long gone, and who seek to forge a new one.
