frestonian music

frestonia has a long and diverse music tradition, full of regional variations.

most of the oldest songs have never been recorded, but the oldest song still sung is la carillon de vendôme, a traditional children’s song over five hundred years old.

once every four years a huge portion of the pootpulation gathers in poot tallis to dance and sing together (the video is set to start at the point where a traditional vana-freesti song plays)

one of the biggest frestonian composers is arvo pärt - listen to his piece te deum.

one of the biggest stars of the sixties and seventies in freesti is the vana-freestist singer jaak joala, one of his biggest hits was kuusluse ahelad, a song still sung and performed by many to this day. 

modern music

one of the most influential modern day singers from the poot province who greatly helped make thai the most widespread language in the pootian music is ink waruntorn. her song snap was #1 for a month in 2016 on the Frestonian charts. (which was in laulu fête 2017 until she withdrew due to scheduling conflicts, the skipit band replaced her mere weeks before the competition.)

joke music and humor are, and have always been, very important parts of frestonian culture.. many of our oldest musicals and plays are comedies and some of the best known historical texts are playful and humoristic songs. this genre is still big and influential to this day.

one of the most popular bands is winny puhh - here singing their peegelpõgerand which was #1 at the Frestonian charts for nine months (2009-2010).

another popular artist is hong cha cha cha (here singing his very popular song about the thai alphabet).
