I just purchased an adobe suite and with it, photoshop (and the premiere pro I used to edit this video lol). I decided to christen the suite by taking an old drawing I'd made when I was like 10 and giving it another go after years more practise and learning! Here we have the Patriarch, I can't remember the history of it but I do recall that was around when I found one of my biggest inspirations; Extra-Vertebrae (you can find them on twitter) so it was likely a demon of some kind. This is the longest I've spent on a piece of art in a long time, this took roughly 2 hours in total from blank page to what we have here. I'm likely not done with this and will probably clean up the lineart of perhaps colour/paint the creature to be more spectacular (I'll for sure at least do some good shading).

Today is the start of Koopaling week and that means today is Larry’s day!

I really wanted to draw all my favorite versions of Larry from tumblr. This was such a blast to do and I am quite happy with the results.

Minor correction, bro! Adding backslashes to tags does not remove them from Tumblr search. Tumblr updated their search engine way back last year, Tumblr search works by keyword now (hence I suggested blacklist earlier, this is also why people were upset they could not track tags anymore). It unfortunately doesn't matter if you add symbols or whatnot to the tags or not, if the searched word or term is in the text body or image caption, it will appear if your Tumblr search is not pre-filtered.

In regards to your NSFW blog, in case you weren't already aware, Tumblr searches can still pick up your posts so long as they carry particular keywords in the blog text, regardless of how they are tagged. If people really want to avoid the blog or its contents, they will need to blacklist the blog url. This will prevent any and all posts from said blog, original or reblogged, from appearing under any circumstances so long as they are using the blacklist.

Forgot to add, they will need to use an asterix at the end of the blog name to remove all instances of its material from appearing on their dash, etc etc. Hopefully this will help those who want to avoid the material, because ultimately there will be folks who will reblog and tag it with community-relevant tags and all of that.

Imagined Anatomy commission for extra-vertebrae of her Red Imp. I tried to mix in some of the characteristics of insect flight, mostly making the ribcage resemble a flexible exoskeleton which can be distorted in order to support the wing stroke. I had a blast working on it, many thanks again for commissioning me! :)
