I'm so late to these October art challenges but we're ignoring that for now

I did the first day on my girlfriend's tablet so the style and colours are different, she uses Ibis paint X so that's what I use

The second day is on my (read as: my brother's) drawing tablet and laptop where I use Krita

"Oed und leer das Meer"

I really loved this painting i did of an adult jake. Hes the bluest woman alive. I put a lot of feeling into this one and eventually a few years later made a print of it (as in relief printing with carving on plastic), which you can see under the cut.

My plastic was a certain size, so i had to make it wider. I carved it onto plastic (cant find picture of the carving but ill add it when i find it again), put ink on the plastic, and put it through a manual printing press. I used mostly coloured pens and some paint for the smear on top. I prefer the digital one, but it was interesting to experiment with different mediums and learn more about printmaking and its history.

I love seeing how far this piece ended up because i originally hated the coloured version and thought that the sketch was much better. But i guess that it really is just about "trust the process" sometimes. I should start recording my processes sometimes, that might be fun to watch.
