Tredd snorted, raising his whisky glass in Nyx’s direction. “From your lips to the gods’ ears,” he said, and drained the glass. “Oh, wait -- the idiots in this fuckin’ city worship a war god.”

i mentioned in the last hc post that kyo smokes, but they actually kept their old smoking pipe, along with the case and their old tobacco pouch. in the edo period, since samurai were the only class that could legally have weapons, kyo had a custom pipe case that concealed a small knife. all of these were handmade and incredibly ornate.
they also have a cigarette case they got in the 50s, that they still use. while kyo usually uses fox motifs on a lot of their things, this was engraved with an image of a tiger.
kyo first began selling their art in the muromachi/sengoku period as a means to provide for themselves. they kept this up on into the edo period. while they would technically be in the nobility class, kyo functionally lived and worked as an artisan and craftsperson. it's how they got more connected with their city in this time period, and how they reached out to other personifications in the country after centuries of being sheltered.
kyo does continue to make and sell art in modern times. it's all under pseudonym's though, sometimes ones they've been using on and off through centuries.
kyo keeps many, many things from their history. some are showcased in their house, some are kept preserved. some are left unsorted in storage. there's a good chance they could sell to a museum for a high price, but they'd prefer to keep most of it right now.
